In 1964 Raymond L. Lutgert, a visionary, purchased an undeveloped 764 acres along the Gulf of Mexico in Naples, Florida. He created Venetian Bay which separates the mainland portion of Park Shore from the coastline. The coastline was designed in a serpentine style, giving the condos five beachside parks and a walkway of 1 ¼ miles along the beach. The 26 luxury condominiums offer sophisticated but convenient living with easy access to shopping, boating and water sports. On the mainland of Park Shore, there are 600 single family homes, many midrise condos and commercial real estate property. In 1986 the Venetian Village opened on the bay. It comprises almost 60 handpicked retail shops plus many fine water side restaurants.
